A rare Wedgwood Queensware teapot and cover from the Gordon Highlanders Service C1809

Enamelled with emblems including a sporran, thistles and a banner inscribed “North Fencibles”.

Provenance: Commissioned by General George Gordon, 5th Duke of Gordon (1770-1836) when Marquwss of Huntly for the 92nd (Gordon Highlanders) Regiment of Foot. One or two small spots of flaking of the blue enamel around the rims. Otherwise fine.
